Joel and Andy were my ex-colleagues in Lucent Technologies many years ago. We have since become friends over the years. Andy was in Melbourne since late last year and he has managed to find a relatively good job in his hometown, Melbourne. I was happy for him. Now it's time for the family to move over to Melbourne to be united again. It was great to see Jeremy just the way he is, happy, active but a bit shy. And of course, Joel looking extremely young with her new hairstyle. After Joel has done the check in the remaining 3 luggage and 1 box, we proceeded to the Food court for dinner and drinks. Time passed quickly, within 45 minutes, we were at the Departure hall.
It was a teary departure ... Joel's mother, sisters, brother, nephews, nieces were there to bid farewell. I have mixed feelings ... I am happy that Andy is finally having his family back with him which is what family should be. On the other hand, it's not so convenient to see each other... I'll just have to keep the positive attitude that we can always meet in Melbourne or the family can come back Singapore for visits. Joel and Andy and Jeremy, all the best for your new life in Australia! Keep in touch and keep a blog to update us constantly! We hope to visit you next year!
