Sabana Resort on 11-12 April 2009

CK and myself have a short break at Sabana Cove Resort at Johor. We took a ferry from Tenah Merah Ferry Terminal directly to the Sabana Cove's jetty. It took us about an hour to reach there.

Before we drove to Tenah Merah Ferry Terminal (you can park your car overnight at TMFT), we dropped by Club for Paws to deposit Jojo for boarding. We could tell that he ws real upset and might have thought that we were abandoning him. Sigh .. no choice lah.

We have a simple breakfast at the "Killiney Kopitiam" at TMFT before we checked in the customs.

It was a quiet affair at the resort ... it was only during breakfast and dinner that suddenly we saw many diners coming for their meals. Unless you know the surrounding areas very well, you can chose to venture out of Sabana Cove Resort for seafood. To us, an overnight stay is good enough. There wasn't a lot of activities to do, we just walked around a bit. CK went for a short swim and most of the time, we just relaxed in the bedroom watching TV programmes.

After the paying respect to Ah Pa, Sis and family said they would like to visit Hillview Regency. Even though we have not gotten the keys, but we can enter into the building by telling the security guards that we are here to view the showflats.

I was telling Sis and Yen Qiu how I wish they can also buy a unit here. it would be so nice if we can stay in the same premises. But anyhow, after we shifted into Bukit Batok area, almost all the family members are in Bukit Batok except eldest brother and family !

HVR has 25 floors and we got a unit at 14th floor. 20 floor and above should have a more awesome view.

Another shallow pool for kids. The brownish condo called Regent Heights is where my primary school friend, May is staying. I've told her we will be neighbours soon !

Morning at "Hai Yin Si"

Date : 10 April 2009 (Good friday)

This day, the Tan family all gathered at "Hai Yin Si" at Chua Chu Kang to pay respect to our Ah Pa.

As usual, each family will bring fruits or vegetarian dishes for prayers. It has been almost 4 years since Ah Pa has left us. It seems like yesterday. Has Ah Pa really left us for 4 years already ? Time really flies ....

From observations, I think Ah Mi has somewhat get used to being alone. The first year was really bad for her and I am so glad that she is able to overcome this ordeal.

I really missed Ah Pa. He was a good man of his times ! I will always remember the wonderful times that we all had at their house and the shopping trips CK and myself brought them to. I really missed preparing "poh pian" for him. I recalled that he was always very appreciative when I presented the "poh pian" to him after Ah Mi has cooked the ingredients.

Ah Pa, just to let you know that 4 years ago, purely out of fun, we have ventured into Hillview Regency with Ah Mi and Ah Pa during their first launch for fun and we are getting a unit there ! I have told sister about this and was thinking if this is fate ?

Untidy home

After many weeks of packing, we thought that we have cleared quite a number of things. The house now is very untidy !

I am very grateful to one of my colleagues, Eric for giving us empty cartons, bubbles wraps, plstic wraps and even tapes ! And of course my mum for collecting more cartons for me ! With their help, we have no problem packing and get things going !

We got more things to pack, so "Jia You" !
