可爱的巴厘岛 Day 2 (Kintamani and Tampaksiring temple)

We were given two choices the day before by the guide either to have our crispy duck lunch at Ubud town (lunch as in our itinerary) or buffet at Kintamani overlooking the Kintamani volcano and lake. There was actually a friendly voting during our bus journey that we should eat at Kintamani.

It was puzzling why we were given two choices as the crispy duck lunch have been booked already as we were told the next morning. Nonetheless, it really doesn't matter where we had our lunch. The crispy duck restaurant is beautiful.

Next, we proceeded to Kintamani to view the active volcano and batur lake ! It was a magnificent panorama view and the weather was cooling ! Shiok !

From LL's shawl, you could tell that the weather was actually chilling for some.

We were lucky to have taken some photos of the lake and volcano as the dark clouds gathered and covered the lake partially very soon.

There were stall vendors selling fruits and Tiang recalled her encounter with an dishonest vendor. She has given $100,000rp to the vendor for the fruits she purchased. Instead, the vendor gave her incorrect change and insisted that Tiang only gave her 10,000rp. Luckily, Tiang was persistent and was very sure that she has given the vendor $100,00.00. She got back her $100,000rp back and gave the vendor smaller amount instead. Another valuable traveling story to keep in mind.

There were children and adults on the platform near the roadside who would ask you to buy their products. It was an intense competition amongst the vendors and could be quite confusing. If you started buying from one vendor, the rest would gathered around you and begged you to buy from them too. Quite an experience !

I wish we could walk around the Kintamani area more, unfortunately, we needed to rush to our next destination, Tampaksiring temple.

Loving Tampaksiring temple. It is a serene place and we got to visit the holy spring pool with devotees doing their rituals. Such a bliss !

The kids were really friendly. When they saw my camera, they started to pose and smile ! Thanks kids !

Really enjoyed this day watching Barong dance, seeing the awesome volcano and lake and the unique temple.
