A new look

The chairs were back, with a new look !

The old black man-made leather covering which got lots of flakes just after 2 years.

The new light fabric vertical stripes somehow deceived our eyes that the bench looks even longer than before.

The old white leather dining chairs that gets dirtied easily.

I don't know what to comment on these new upholstered dining chairs. Definitely need more time to get used to them.

A new change

Really love 王禄江 shows on renovation. He has unlimited talents and great taste in choice of furnishings !

In his most recent renovation show, 《旧欢。心爱》 Renaissance, he brought some old furniture to a sofa upholstery factory, Kim Hwee Sofa, for a facelift. Some fantastic transformation has been done to these tired-looking sofa into fabulous ones !

Our black long bench with fake leather behind the dining table has ugly flakes all over. I loved this piece as it is simple and contemporary, can't bear to throw it away. The four white dining chairs were extremely dirty, got really tired of maintaining them. Therefore, we have decided to keep the pieces and re-do the upholstery.

We went down to the factory to choose the fabric. Hee, managed to see the lady, Teresa, featured in 禄江's show.
We stayed there for quite a while as they were quite busy. Took quite a while to decide on the fabrics too.

This fabric is for the long bench.

This is for the four dining chairs.

Seriously, I am not sure how these fabric will look on the current seat frames. Taking a chance here.

CK questioned me about the usage of this 8 litres water container ... well, this is extremely useful for parties, pinic and BBQ !!! Will be using this very soon !

Skylanders !!!

OMG ! When I saw an advertisement game poster outside the gameshop, I knew this must be an enjoyable game ! Used to play Spyro on Sony playstation long time ago and since have love the friendly little purple dragon that brought so much excitement to our lives !

Now Spryo coupled with many other fanciful characters have made their way through WII and other gaming systems ! As you can guess, we have been playing this game for days now !

You have to purchase a starter pack first of your choice about SGD97. Individual plastic character is sold separately at about SGD19.90. The plastic character could be placed on the portal in order for them to come alive on your TV screen. The more plastic characters you collect, the more terrain you could explore in the game. There are 8 elements ie, Earth, Water, Fire, Magic etc with 4 characters under each element. To save costs, we have thought of starting our collections by purchasing just 1 character from each element. Well, I must say that the developer sure knows how to earn extra bucks.

The graphics were awesome. The characters were lively and animated !

No regrets buying this game. Can't help it, just love Spyro and the stunning graphics !

M.A.C time

One thing just lead to another ...
Firstly, I wanted just to buy a foundation from M.A.C and I ended up with five other items !

I have been using ZA foundation which was pretty good. I have this opportunity to use M.A.C during the office shoot and I thought the foundation coverage for the face was pretty convincing.

M.A.C doesn't come cheap and guess I have to use the foundation sparingly !

M.A.C service in Raffles City is pretty good. The pretty young sales lady is helpful and knowledgeable and you could consult her on some beauty tips. This Prep and Prime lotion is supposed to "soothe" your skin before you apply the foundation. Sounds pretty tempting !

This paint pot is supposed to "retain" your eye shadow colours and could last for 8 hours ! I hope this works for my eye lids ! I always have this problem of eye shadow being "wash-out" after a short while. On second thoughts, I might want to try M.A.C eye shadow in future.

Brush for blending and blending of the eye shadows !

For washing the brush ! Just squeeze some lotion on a piece of kitchen towel and just "brush" the brush on it...

Cannot resist the lovely coloured lipstick !

Hub bought back a red box back from his last day of reservist.
I was surprised to find these rather fanciful stuff for serving his reservist for the past 10 year.

Where everything doesn't go as smoothly as you wanted to ...

TIRED ... mentally and physically ...

So tired that I slipped and fell twice and not once on the slope !
Seriously, I should be glad that I did not fell on the right side of the path which is a road !

Instead, I fell onto the left side of path where the gentler earth shielded me from a possible fracture !

I almost fell a third time if not a passer-by quickly asked me to step out from the slope ! Yea, I was quite giddy !

I just wanted to get home as fast as I could. Very "ma-lu", of course, but at that point, I was too tired to think so much. Trying to act as natural as possible with some abrasions on the elbow, slightly painful hip and a relatively wet dress, I continue my journey to catch a cab home. What a day ! I am avoiding that slope for a long time now.

Revitalization for the soul

Weather has been humid and hot ! One of the best and "cheapo" way to cool down is to stay inside departmental stores ! Of course, another reason was to get some earrings and necklaces which happens to be one of my favourite vanity collections.

It has been quite a long time since I have purchased any earrings or necklaces. I was so glad to find them at Isetan and Tangs, very happy shopping for them indeed.

A simple ribbon-shaped crystal hoop earrings from Isetan. (Can't recall the brand though but it was from Korea. 20% off)

Cute bear bear ... I was quite hesitant to get this pair, seems to cute for my age. Decided to give it a try. From the same section as the ribbon-shaped crystal earrings.

From Metalli. Love their accessories made in Spain. The workmanship is relaitvely good and they have a wide varieties of style to choose from. BTW, the Metallic branch in Tangs is so much bigger than Isetan. The friendly sales assistant helped me to decide on this matching wash-out copper earrings and necklace.

This rather eye-catching necklace goes well with just plain dark clothings. Matching it with a real simple small earrings to complete the look.

A modern-looking table runner which really brightened up the dull dining table .... the runner was introduced by the friendly sales assistant.

Up the steep and high "Le Shan" proof too much for my mum. She paid SGD20 for 2 men to carry her halfway up to the mountain. Now she can smile with relief !

Revisting a Primary School excusion location

I wanted to revisit a reservoir during our Primary School excursion. However, I could not recall which particular reservoir that was. I could only remember that the location has either one or more towers.

Most likely, I would need to look through my photos if I can find them.


A very "old-fashion" tower ... so nostalgic


Upper Seletar reservoir is a very small reservoir. Seriously, it wasn't very worth visiting unless you are just wanted to check out the place like me.


It was a rather hot morning ... just took some photos and off to somewhere else.


We brought mum and Jojo along ...


Jojo was extremely thirsty even though we only stayed for a while. Luckily we always bring along his water supply.
