The dance began ... watched out for Nicolas !


The Indian dance group getting ready to go up stage ... the last 2 groups to perform. The theme of this event is "Around the world in One Night".


Each dance category, 2 kiddos would give a simple introduction to all. Nic was one of them for the Indian dance performance.

Hee, that's the cuteness .. all the dance performances by the kiddos were not synchronise...


End of performance. I must applause the teachers, it was not easy to train 4 to 6 years old kids to perform. There were about 8 dance segments performed that night! And the kiddos' costumes were well-made and colourful !


Even the teachers have to put up a performance. Some kiddos were delighted to see their teachers on stage !

I must upload other dance segments as well. The kids have done so well and even I don't know them, I was touched by their performance. There was 1 "dance" which was not K2 graduates. They looked so cute ... they must be about 3 years old ?

Orchard Road 2009

A leisure day with Jan at Orchard sipping tea and enjoying Japanese food.



After much sourcing around the eateries, we have decided to settle our lunch at Botejyu as the price is more affordable.


There were a number of choices in the menu, somehow we ordered the same food - Fried spicy seafood udon.


We proceeded to "Fruits Paradise" for tea and their speciality, fruits tarts. This was my pot of tea with a fancy name, "Sangria". Lovely tinted red colour tea to go with the tart.


This was Jan's pot of tea with "Shan Zhar" ... strangely, my pot of tea looks more like "Shan Zhar" tea ... we were a bit confused and asked the waiter for confirmation.


Chocolate bananas tart. Did not expect the tart was served with beautiful decorations. It was too beautiful to be eaten.


Mixed fruits tart. The crust of the tart was tasty but the entire tart was filled almost with fresh cream which can be quite sinful ! I was hoping if the tart can be filled with more cake instead of cream.


This is "Fruits Paradise" at Orchard Central - 5th floor. After a nice leisure time, we parted. I met CK at Ion.


A walk down Orchard Road from Orchard Central to Ion.... the workers were still busy decorating the streets for the season.


I think they will be having a lot of similiar festive-looking figures like this one along the street but they were all wrapped up in white plastics except for this.


Beautiful Ion, somewhere I felt this scene looks more like New York than in Singapore.

Did not know that S.H.E was having a Osim Promotion for the product called "Yukimono". At the same time, they are here for the FM933 Hits Award on 7 nov.


It was so crowded, this was the best we can get ... love S.H.E.

Jojo's different looks

Tennis & Asia Kennel Union (AKU) Championship Dog Shows and the 169th SKC Championship Dog Show

We had our very first tennis game this late morning. Just an hour of tennis would drain you out completely. We were still at the stage of picking up balls and occasionally hit a ball or two. We are not giving up, we would try to keep up with this "passion".







We were somehow late for our appointment with Jan at Singapore Expo Hall.
The Singapore Kennel Club has organised the Asia Kennel Union (AKU) Championship Dog Shows and the 169th SKC Championship Dog Show today from 9am to 6pm. Jan is an animal lover and she used to update me of all pets events.

Jojo was totally lost in his own world of doggies ! There were all sorts of dogs and some owners dressed them up in Halloween suits or pretty dresses. Jojo was simply dressed up in a Christmas like scarf and hat.

There were a number of stores that sold either dog food or apparels. We bought quite a few apparels for Jojo to his despair. Yes, he's gonna be my photographed model later.

This real big dog got all attention from the crowd. He was one of the most photographed dogs and people actually followed him around to get shoots of him ! I saw a standard size white poodle with continental cut which was so huge ! I was quite shy to take a photo of the big white beauty as the owner was talking with his friends.



A professional dog competition. The dogs are all so well-groomed !


Another dog competition for golden retrievers, one of my favourite dog breeds ! Love their sad sad eyes ... and they are so intelligent and faithful!


The big doggie, from the video,you can tell how big the dog is ! He might be big but he is so well-behaved. Frankly, smaller dogs barked a lot but big dogs are more stable. Do not be deceived by their size !


From this video, you can tell that this is a non-professional category competition. All breeds of dogs can register for this competition.

Orchard Central & others

Today, we went to Orchard Road to buy some Christmas ornaments. Seems like many older shopping malls there have gotten some facelift !


Centre Point - looks pretty different from before


Orchard Central - Another new shopping mall after Ion. Finally got a chance to go there ... they have pretty interesting sculpture. This "girl" sculpture is so tall that I cannot take her shoes she is wearing !

Not sure what that sculpture is ? Looks like a red nut to me ...


What is interesting about Orchard Central ? This shopping mall has a lot of escalators and lifts.


Long flight of stairs to different level of the building & all the way to the roof garden !

Quite unusual to find such activity within a shopping mall. The idea is quite refreshing. Just below the rock climbing facility is a cafe.


The roof garden is on the 11 and 12th floor.

Beautiful roof top garden. You can get an bird eye's view of the orchard road and beyond from the walkway.

What's this cake doing here ? Just bought this delicious cake from Center Point. We brought this cake to Ah Gu's house later as dessert. Glad my ah gu, aunts, cousin, nephews and even neighbour enjoyed it !
