It was impossible to wake up this morning. Somehow, I managed to "crawl" out of bed to get ready to fetch my Mother-in-law (Ah Mi) to "Hai Yin Shi" temple to pay respect to our Father-in-law.
As my mother was staying with us on Saturday, therefore we brought her along to the temple. The temple was very crowded and after searching high and low for our 2 brother's families, we were finally "united" to proceed with the offering of food and praying. I can sense that Ah Mi was overwhelmed with sadness especially when we went up the pagoda where the urn with Ah pa's photo was. It suddenly struck me that Ah Mi misses Ah Pa a lot ... I feel really sorry for her. However on the other hand, Ah Mi has been most blessed to have 4 well-brought up children whom cares about her and take good care of her during her old age.
I was very glad to be able to leave the temple to refresh the mind and re-adjust the feelings. We decided to go IMM for lunch and asked Ah Mi to join us. Ah Mi wanted to get a new ceiling fan with lights for the living room and a new set of lightings for the dining room. She did not managed to get anything at IMM , therefore CK drove her to Lakeside HDB area to get the items she wanted.
As for my mother and myself, we browsed around Daiso and managed to buy quite a number of things. I simply couldn't control myself as each item is only $2 and I tend to take more than required. Most of the items were for our little public balcony garden :) and some little country-style looking items to be displayed in the glass kitchen cabinet. BTW, Reg, on behalf of Jojo, thanks for the sign at the babygate ! (See Jojo posing with the sign)
