Kukup (14 to 15 November) Part II

On the way to Kukup ! The spacewargon ahead of us sat BC, Fang LL and family. Our driver was a man of few words. Throughout our journey, I could hear the cheerful chattering and singing of Colette's sweet voices ...



Reached Kukup fishing village ! I've never been to a fishing village ... very excited and everything seems quite interesting to me. This was the only path which people walked, bicycles rode by and motorbikes zoomed by. Flanking this path was the villagers' houses and shops. And beneath the path and houses, mind you, were muds and dirty waters ! There were no railings along the path and there was always this fear of falling into the great mess below ! Pheewee, no mishaps so far !



This was taken from our accommodation at "Hello Resort". It was a resident house whereby they portioned the big house on stilts mainly into Host and Guests' accommodation style. Every house overlooked the swarm ... you could see mudskippers when the tide was low.



Our only 3 matured guys in our expedition ... the 2 teens were nowhere to be seen.

CHECK THIS OUT ! This was our first time for many of us in the group to witness a fireworks set off by ourselves ! The fireworks burst into colourful display of lights in the dark sky just right before us ! It was awesome as the distance between the fireworks display and us was pretty close ! For a sum of RM80, it was worth the "once-in-life-time" experience !



This was a video taken of our neighbouring guesthouse's folks setting off a firecracker ! Also my first time to witness real firecrackers setting off with their deafening sound !



Another form of fireworks whereby you set off the beautiful sparks with the firecrackers still on your hands. This display of fire display was extremely beautiful if you have more people to set them off all at one time !



Showing display of affection and love amongst daddy and brother and sister ! Hooray !



We have 2 November Birthday boy, Ryan and girl, Esther ! Tiang's birthday is in early Dec but no problem, can still join in ! Let's sing them a Birthday song !



One song not enough ... don't forget, we have different language of birthday songs !



Cutting the delicious cake bought from Singapore as Kukup got no cakeshops!



On the boat to a kelong ! It was a relatively short comfortable ride to the Kelong.



We alighted at this small kelong not far from the jetty. It was a cooling day and was quite enjoyable just being on the floating platform or letting your sights took in the open sea and more kelongs surrounding you.



A worker feeding he hungry fish. We headed off to the Jetty for lunch before departing Kukup to CitySquare for some shopping !


We would like to thank you Fang for making arrangements for transport, accomodation and fun things etc to do at Hello Resort ! Already having lovely thoughts of Bangkok in May 2010 !!!!
