After a treat from SY at Master Crab, we came back for the Birthday surprise. We dimmed the lights and hopefully able to spring a surprise for Jo !

Jo is totally taken back by surprise .. could tell she was very happy !

Tool Of The Trade

We went to Tool Of The Trade for our weekend breakfast.
Initially, we thought the TOTT stands for Talk Of The Town but seriously, Tool Of The Trade sounds more appropriate after visiting the big store which sells tools required for baking and cooking !

This is TOTT at Sime Darby building along Dunearn Road.

We had our breakfast here at the Bistro. We were the early birds ... the Bistro was practically empty when we arrived except for one table!

The breakfast looked really home-made .. something which I would prepare in the morning. Frankly, I was quite disappointed. However, after trying the simple spread in front of me, it was not bad.

The waiter served us 2 half-boiled eggs and said that it was complimentary from the Chef ! My, the two of us ate three eggs for breakfast that day ! I must say that we enjoyed the fresh half boiled egg very much.

The huge store were divided into various sections like housekeeping, appliances, cook, host, bake, books etc ..

Another creative idea of how to hang your lightings ! This would look great in the kitchen or dining room !

Bakery section with more uncommonly found cake moulds. They do not come cheap though, a mould is around $50.00.

Nice presentation of food plates ... nice for hosting parties.

Sweetie pies

Our 2 sweetie pies were all ready for Fang and Gvin's wedding !!! We have so much fun just looking at them ! Pre-view of the two little angelic girls !

Birthday celebrations for Mum and Aunt

First, we started off with fetching the 2 boys over our house the night before the birthday celebrations. They were excited and JL has generously sponsored a bottle of vanilla vodka bought at the airport ! Throughout the whole journey in the car, CK and myself have been eavesdropping their candid conversation on their precious hair, school life etc.

Cheers for good health ! I heard from the boys that they went to bed only about 3am in the morning !

Look at their puffy eyes and "sian sian" look ... a late home-made breakfast which they happily ate before they went on their activities.

Meanwhile I cut the melon and scoped the flesh into little balls.

Just a little something for the kids which I have done a few nights ago.

Waited for BC and Min to come and they went together for a swim. I was quite worried about them swimming in the 1.8 m pool but they seems quite alright.

I was very glad that BC have brought Min's swimming gear along. I could tell that they have such a nice mummy and kid bonding in the kid' pool.

The sweet Colette came along with her tortoise or turtle soft toy? I have been told by Colette that this was a tortoise !

Dean has assisted to set up the fire for the BBQ. Andrew has taken over the barbequing for the time being. Ha, Colette would also like to try her hands on barbequing ..

Have especially ordered 2 extra tables and 10 stools so that everyone could be seated more comfortably.

The early birds who have arrived. Unfortunately Shark has some work to be done and she has to leave by 7 pm. The Chewy family could not make it as well.

Much commotion about the fine coffee powder from Bali. Where's the milk to go with the coffee ? How come the coffee was so diluted ? How to get rid of the coffee residue ? It was fun discussing about the Bali coffee that we have bought back !

After much BBQ food and some ready-cooked food, it's time to sing the Birthday song to our Birthday girls !

Cake pops

My first attempt in baking cake pops. It is simple but it took up quite a bit of time. The end results seem worth it especially the good reviews from friends and relatives. I guess the curious ladies were attracted to the colourful decorated ball of cake and ribbons. As for the guys and CK, they were not sure why we can't just eat the cake as the way it is ... well...I would say their creativity is rather limited ...LOL
