Traveling by Transasia (復興航空)to Taipei ! They happened to be celebrating their 60th years of flying this year ! This is a full-serviced carrier and we decided to give it a try.
It is not a big plane but the seats are slightly wider than SQ. Unfortunately, the food is rather a challenge. Anyhow, safety is the utmost important factor now, unsatisfactory food is not critical factor for flying anymore, at least not for us.
We checked into See You Hotel which is near the Taipei Main Station. It is a cosy hotel which is clean and comfortable. Oh, we got a free upgrade from a standard room to a bigger room.
The upgraded room was not that big but it was pleasant and nice.
If you dimmed the room, you were able to see the "galaxy" dotted with blue LED lights on the ceiling !
The bright and clean white-theme bathroom with a relatively big shower area and a bath-tub. Taking a shower in this bathroom after a day's out was heavenly !
After resting for about half an hour in See You Hotel, we decided to head towards Xi Men Ding. Along the way to the main station, there was a autograph session by Yang Zhong Wei from afar.
Very orderly when taking train .. impressive. Naturally we joined the queue to wait for the train. We are only one stop away from the main station to Xi Men Ding !
Xi Men Ding with many tourists and young and fashionable Taiwanese. We were browsing the shops and at the same time asking for directions to pay a visit to a toilet-theme restaurant, namely the "Modern Toilet Restaurant".
We found it at last ! A rather strange experience to have your meals or snacks in such environment. Some might even found it revolting, I guess !However, we just wanted to see this rather famous restaurant since we were in Taiwan. As we were pretty full, we just ordered chicken nuggets and 2 very sweet drinks served in toilet theme crockery !
Taiwanese Street food ... NT50 for a "Da Chang Bao Xiao Chang". The generous portion was good enough for a meal.

That kind of wrapped up for day one in Taipei. We would be heading for Jiu Fen the next day !

I love SeeYou too. Stayed there twice. Love becos it is very clean and neat although is a small hotel:) Btw, can walk to ximending from See You, pretty near. From Fang
