A night at Marina Sands

The surprise has been revealed ! I have been asked numerous times is there a special occasion to mark this outing? Seriously, no special event ... maybe CK has always wanted to stay at Sands, at least to experience this integrated resort ...

CK lip's was tight, he refused to reveal anything no matter how much I tried to get out from him. He asked me just to pack 1 night stuff because we would need to stay over somewhere for a night ! Somehow Fang guessed correctly that it must be either Sands or one of the resorts in Sentosa.

It was quite exciting as we have not stepped into Sands since it has been opened. It was also strange to see guests in robes and wet hair walking around the vast lobby ! The lobby is so huge, it can be quite tiring walking from one tower to another.

We checked in the registration counter and CK requested for a "City View" stack. The receptionist has actually allocated a "Sea View" unit for us but CK's logic is that during night time, the view might not be as spectacular as the colourful night scene.


After we have "surveyed" the room with much excitement, we went to the Sky Park @ 57 floor to have a look. Weather does not seems good and we wanted to see as much as we could before it rained. The pool area walkway is long and relatively narrow. It looks very busy when we arrived ... this deck is opened to the public for $25 but frankly, I don't think it was very worth it.

By the way, if you are driving to Sands as a hotel guest with a room number, you can use valet parking service at only $12. Parking at other nearby car parks overnight costs more than $20.




Taken from the busy walkway .. you can be sure of people snapping photos away from there.

It was still hazy in Singapore which was quite a pity. In fact, I overheard an Ang Mo tourist saying that he can smell the haze! Still, we are proud that Singapore can be so beautiful !

We stayed on the 18th floor. There are 3 towers altogether.


The bathroom is almost as huge as the bedroom ! There is also 1 toilet and shower area which was not captured in this photo.
